A Priority Programme of Govt. of India

PFC is the Nodal agency for implementation of “Integrated Power development Scheme (IPDS)” (R-APDRP subsumed), a priority scheme of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India for Urban Power Distribution sector of the Country. The salient features of IPDS Organogram are as below:

● The IPDS Unit works under overall supervision and guidance of CMD (PFC) Smt. Parminder Chopra and the Board of Directors of PFC.

● The Unit is headed by ED (IPDS) and supported by a team of 30 executives comprising of domain experts from PFC as well as NTPC. The team is actively involved in implementation and monitoring of IPDS (including subsumed R-APDRP) and is continuously working towards Enhanced Power reliability, Reduction in AT&C loss & Better Consumer connect in Urban areas across the country.

● The work of the team is divided into a number of functional domains viz. Funding, Project Monitoring, Technical coordination etc and each of the officers are assigned roles according to their expertise.

● In addition to the specific functional tasks, each officer is designated as State Nodal Officer to monitor, facilitate, coordinate and handhold the State/ Utilities on various projects/ activities in the Urban Distribution sector.
